With a much varied life, I worked as a teenager in a bank in Zimbabwe, then returned to England to become deputy head of a primary school. This was followed by early retirement and many further careers. Working as an actress for a while, I then set up my own art and craft business called The Paper Tree, trained for two years with the West of England Ministerial Course to be a minister in the Church of England, and then became a full time writer of children and adult’s fiction and poetry. Living in Shropshire, I have written historical fiction for older children and written and illustrated books for younger readers. I have also written a first book of poetry for adults, containing poetry that had previously been broadcast on BBC North West. I’m planning a second book of poetry, ‘Woman to Woman’ and completing a first book for adults called ‘Snakeskin and Failed Feathers.’
